SEAS THE ADVENTURE!
Learn to Surf in Tel Aviv | June 28th, 2026 - July 25th, 2026 | Ages 18-35
Dive into a summer of surf, safety, and skill-building! Learn essential water rescue techniques while mastering surfing and paddle boarding. Through hands-on training in first aid, surf rescue, and emergency response, you’ll gain the confidence to handle water emergencies and make a real impact by the sea.
At the start of the program, you’ll take a swim test to assess your skills, then dive into weekly water rescue training. Each session covers surf rescue, first aid, and emergency response — plus hands-on experience on the board as you learn to surf or paddle board. By the end, you’ll earn a U.S. and Israel–recognized certificate in water rescue mastery.
Cost: $499
In addition, participants will be required to submit a $400 security deposit. Deposits will be refunded at the end of the program pending good standing.
The program cost includes housing, educational programming, program staff, basic medical insurance, and ground transportation within the city of residence.
*Participants are encouraged to purchase flights with a good refund policy or flight insurance. Birthright Israel Onward is not responsible for the cost of flights should the program be cancelled. Note, participants will be given their expected address approximately two weeks before the program begins, if not earlier.

Participants MUST be available to participate for the entire length of the program.

Identify as Jewish.

Applicants must NOT have spent 3 or more consecutive months in Israel after high school, or participated in a Birthright Israel Onward program or any other mid-term or long-term educational program in Israel.

Fluent in English.

Have a valid Passport for at least 6 months after the program end date.
